i just finished looking at all your photos since the lemon altar one. here's what i want to say: never take photos while you're driving on highway 17!! bad. bad. bad. i love that your girl is always smiling. i hate snails, but that snail photo is really good. i really enjoy looking at your photos because even though we live in the same city, i never see anything i recognize.

The purple tree looks like it might be Wisteria. Though that is usually a vine and you see it over arbors and such. I'd have to see a bigger pic to know for sure. The other purple tree you see a lot around here is Jacaranda but the purple parts look different and besides, I've not seen them blooming yet (I think more towards the summer).
